Learning to knit

I have decided to teach myself to knit, so fingers crossed let's see how I go.

I thought I would start with something very basic so I have decided to knit a scarf.

I started last night and am very proud so far of my progress. I hope one day soon I will be able to put the whole fear of reading a pattern behind me and be able to make beautiful gifts from patterns.

If anyone has any tips that they would love to share please feel free to comment

Hi Elisabeth,
Thanks heaps!
It was so encouraging reading your comment as I have never knitted before and it all seems abit daunting. But I am determined to win.

Iam getting soooo excited about my wedding I can't wait to finally say I do.
Thanks for your comments, hope to hear more from you.

Of course I wont mind if you add my blog to yours! Thank you for your kind words.

It's late here in Sweden and I'm off to bed now.
Take care,
Elisabeth

Hi
Thanks for visiting my blog and your comments. Good luck with the scarf. Looks like you're doing really well so far. My knitting skills are very basic. I've only done scarves and squares for blankets. Haven't dared try a pattern. I'm sure you'll do much better than that.

Thanks Nonnie,
It's all abit daunting at the moment the whole idea of knitting from a pattern.
Thanks for your comment.
